The small kitchen and family room were connected by the removal of the wall. Now these two rooms create an extensive open space, and they are separated only by an island and structural columns.

The demolition of the wall between the family room and kitchen lit up the entire space. The area, after removing the closet, has been added to the kitchen to create the breakfast area.

In this small one-story house living space was enlarged by redesigning the existing one-car garage into a family room. A new detached two-car garage has been built in the back yard.
